Urgosorb Alginates are highly absorbent dressings combining calcium alginate fibres with hydrocolloid particles to support optimal healing. On contact with wound exudate, a sodium-calcium ion exchange forms a gel that maintains a moist environment, absorbs excess fluid, and helps remove necrotic debris. Suitable for both acute and chronic wounds, it also supports haemostasis, making it effective for bleeding wounds while protecting peri-wound skin from maceration.
